Sightseeing, Things To Do, Unforgettable Experiences

Bangkok may be a sprawling metropolis filled with bumper to bumper traffic and overwhelming above-ground subways, but that does not mean there is not an opportunity to get yourself a bicycle and enjoy the back roads of beautiful Thailand.

The town is filled with dozens of places to rent a bike for a few days, each offering half-day or full-day Bangkok bike tours that take you through the parts of the city you may not ordinarily see. Follow your guide through some of the quaintest communities in the sprawling city, crossing through the Chao Phraya River and even into parts of Southeast Asia’s famous countryside.

Other tours involve following a group of enthusiastic travelers through the 19-century neighborhoods in Chinatown or you can take a one-day excursion to Damnoen Saduak for a glimpse of the picturesque floating markets and even through the rural communities residing at the Mae Klong River Delta.

With the city as overwhelming as it can be, one of the most popular biking tours is through Bang Ka Jao, or through the Bangkok jungles. Complete with easy to navigate walking/biking path, your guide will take you past several lovely temples and local markets, through pathways and back alleys, past scenic gardens and into the wilderness.

In order to book one of these tours, one can usually check with your friendly hotel staff to see what tour agents are closest to you, or if you are on a tight schedule, many tour services online specializing in bike tours will allow you to book a date then and there.
