One of the great rides of Cairns, Australia the Kuranda Scenic Railway is a relaxing and most impressive way to experience the history and beauty of the area. In just two hours, the famous railway winds its way through picturesque waterfalls and magical ravines to and from Cairns and Kuranda.
The journey includes commentary and information on the railway itself, which first opened in 1891, as well as takes you through several wonderful bridges and farmland with a view of the valley and sea areas.

Another option for spectacular scenic transportation between Kuranda and Cairns is the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway. Step aboard one of the cableway’s gondola pods and you’ll be lifted up and above the rainforest’s canopy, with views as far as the eye can see.
