Spring break in Jamaica is as wild and exotic as they come. From the white-sand beaches of Negril to club-hopping Montego Bay to jamming Kingston town, Jamaica’s got it going on for spring break. A quick flight from the States, Jamaica feels like you’ve stepped into a different world. There’s a reason that millions of tourists make the trek to this sunny Caribbean island every spring, and if you’re one of them, here are some great things that are going on in this neck of the woods.
In general, Montego Bay (also known as Mo’ Bay) and Negril are the top spring-break beach spots. From beach volleyball tournaments to all-night themed parties, these two destinations are the top choices for spring breakers, with Montego Bay generally attracting more of the resort crowd. Themed parties like Margaritaville’s famous day-parties with water trampolines, make Montego Bay an all-inclusive spring break spot, while Negril is all about the town’s beach and party scene. A terrific nightlife, gorgeous beaches, and tons of locals make Negril the top choice for spring-breakers who want a whole village experience.
One thing to remember, however, is that though the majority of spring break partiers head to the beach for toned bodies, bonfire parties, and drinks in the sun, there’s a whole lot more to Jamaica than just the beach. Touring a rum estate is a great way to see some of the interior of the island, while zip-lining over the jungle on a canopy tour or tubing down Jamaica’s inner rivers will give you a whole other experience to remember… or not – this is spring break, after all.
