Modeled on the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame, the Avenue of Stars is located on the eastern side of tourist attractions on the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront.

Among the more than 100 film industry notables honored with handprints and stars at the 1,500-foot long promenade are Roy Chiao (who appeared in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, and acted with Jean-Claude Van Damme and Bruce Lee), Jackie Chan, Chow Yun-fat, Bruce Lee, Michelle Yeoh, Jet Li, and the directors John Woo and Wong Kar Wai.

The promenade features a bronze statue of Bruce Lee and a 15-foot high replica of the award given to winners of the Hong Kong Film Awards. In the evenings, it is a popular place to take in the stunning Symphony of Lights (a lightshow and laser multimedia display that is mounted from 44 different buildings). It is not uncommon to run into stars of the stage and screen. During the day, the waterfront is a good place to enjoy the sweeping vista of Victoria Harbor. Since the 2008 Summer Olympics torch relay, a large replica of a lit torch has been on display.

Also nearby are the New World Center, the Museum of Art, the Space Museum, a cultural center and a noteworthy clock tower. Note: the promenade and the waterfront in general become unspeakably crowded during the annual Dragon Boat Festival and the Chinese New Year fireworks display.
