If you’re visiting Florence, chances are you’re going to want to soak in as much of the Renaissance as you possibly can, but this means more than museums and piazzas. If not for the natural beauty of the Tuscany region, the Italian Renaissance might not have even happened—if you don’t believe me, try to imagine an artistic renaissance happening in a place like Cleveland or Detroit.
