Jerk – or, technically, the Jamaican jerk spice – can be found on menus far and wide, but it’s actually native to the island of Jamaica. Ordering Jerk chicken or Jerk pork will find you with meat that has been marinated or rubbed over with peppers (habaneros), garlic, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg.
