Many of Vegas’ glory days are living in our collective memory as days past. We sometimes see the glittering lights of the Palms and wonder what ever became of Franky and the Sahara. For all the glory that is Las Vegas today, there is still something enticing about the old days of ballroom singing, stiff drinks swirling around heavy blocks of ice, and the air of cigar smoke lingering among the heads of poker masterminds.

But fret not. Today, these days of old can still be had at the Fireside Lounge, where 1974 is still alive and well. For a few carefree hours, you and your beloved can sink into plush velvet couches and listen to the crackle of the fire while cocktail waitresses in full-length gowns bring you whatever libation your heart desires. This is a local and visitor favorite, where the tall couches and hazy red and blue glow gives a comfortable sense of privacy. For nibbles, the Fireside Lounge happens to be conveniently located in the back of the Peppermill Restaurant and offers a variety of victuals. So if winter’s got you down, go ahead and relax and enjoy the ambiance. Who knows? Franky might just be on the wax.

The Fireside Lounge is located at 2985 South Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV.
