One thing you’ll notice even before you leave the airport (and honestly, fly into Burbank if you can) is that Los Angeles is crowded, and its tourist spots are even moreso. I recommend going to Universal Studios, but I highly recommend going to Universal Studios under the auspices of a Skip-the-Line Tour. You’ll save yourself a lot of time otherwise spent baking in a hot line

Los Angeles Attractions: Universal Studios & Hollywood Walk of Fame

I wonder if people in Los Angeles ever get bored. I don’t see how it’s possible. From Universal Studios to Hollywood to Venice Beach and everything in between (it’s a big city, after all), you could spend a year in the city sampling the sights and you’d still have plenty to show your folks when they come to visit.
