Melbourne has so much to offer visitors that one may never tire of visiting this beautiful place! So if you feel like you’ve seen it all, then these unique tours and activities may be just right for you. You’ll get a taste of Melbourne’s beer culture, learn about the breweries, and of course, drink some beer!

Carlton & United Brewery Tour
They don’t get any bigger than the Carlton & United Brewery, which brews over two million litres of beer daily. This brewery produces some of Australia’s most popular lagers including Carlton Draught, Victoria Bitter (VB), Pure Blonde, and Foster’s. Guided tours take you on an interactive journey through the past and present of beer brewing in Australia and end up at the free tasting bar. You can visit the Carlton & United Brewery Tour (also known as Foster’s Brewery) on Viator’s Sport Lovers Tour.

Mountain Goat Beer & Brewery
Two ambitious beer-loving blokes started producing Mountain Goat beer back in 1997 and now they own and operate their very own microbrewery in inner Melbourne. You can enjoy the original Hightail Ale, Organic Steam Ale plus seasonal ‘longneck’ beers at the brewery, which is open every Friday night from 5pm.

Holgate Brewery
This charming country pub and independent brewery produces classic beer styles, with full flavors and rich character.  Set in the pretty country town of Woodend (50 minutes from Melbourne by car), it makes for a relaxing day trip from the city. You can visit this brewery as part of the Champion Racehorse Tour with Beer and Wine Tasting.

Red Hill Brewery
A day trip down Melbourne’s gorgeous Mornington Peninsula brings you to the unique Red Hill Brewery – unique because they grow their own hops organically and onsite. Tour the brewery and taste their much-loved Golden Ale, Wheat Beer and Scotch Ale; sample seasonal beers, and have lunch at their popular café. Bookings are essential.
