Don’t be fooled by the name, there’s more to the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) than just cricket. In fact, the MCG (or the ‘G as it is colloquially known) is Australia’s most famous sporting stadium.

If you want to do a spot of touring you can’t find a drive much better than Victoria’s Great Ocean Road. Famous for its steep inclines, spectacular views, Bells Beach and the Twelve Apostles, the Great Ocean Road hugs the southern coast of Victoria for 263km (163m).

On the doorstep of Australia’s second largest city live wild Kangaroos, Koalas, Cockatoos, Emus and Kookaburras. Melbourne is smack-bang in the centre of a wildlife-rich region. A journey out of Melbourne in any direction, particularly to the west, will bring a traveller up-close and personal with our most famous Australians.
