With its soft, sandy beaches lined with glittering resorts, and fantastic sunsets against those wave-crashed spires of rock just offshore, it is no wonder that Cabo San Lucas is a favorite romantic destination for celebrities, jet-setters, backpackers and honeymooners, from all over the world. While couples in love can easily wile away their days frolicking on the sugary sands and dazzling cool water, this city offers so much more for travelers enjoying the amorous side of life.
1) Let’s Spend the Night Together
Begin by choosing your abode. The most romantic hotels can be found on the strip of upscale properties that line the gorgeous shoreline, most charging honeymoon prices. An online search for “romantic Cabo San Lucas hotels” will yield all sorts of suggestions and reviews; enjoy selecting the perfect spot for you and your media naranja (literally, “half an orange;” figuratively, your soul mate). Lovers on a budget will find a few more affordable, basic bungalow-style spots on the strip, or try the towns of San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas for more options.
2) The Quickest Way to a Man’s (or Woman’s) Heart
Los Cabos is famed for its fine dining, ranging from upscale Mexican cuisine to restaurants with more international flair. If you love a great view, try El Farallon, ensconced in the sunset-soaked cliffs overlooking the sea and serving the freshest seafood imaginable; or Club Cascadas de Baja, which serves couples seated right on the beach, almost isolated under the sand. For excellent Mexican food, try La Fonda, or investigate any of the excellent French, Italian, and other fantastic restaurants around town.
3) Let the Sun Set on Me
Those stunning sunsets are best appreciated on one of Cabo’s many options for sunset cruises. If you’re apt to propose, consider renting a private sailboat au deux, or one of the delightful champagne dinner cruises or live music cruises on offer around town. If you and your sweetheart prefer to mix and mingle, book one of the ever-popular booze cruises with open bars (and open hearts) sailing out on the sea. You could even make a day of it at Lover’s Beach, a secluded stretch of sand that’s boat access only.

4) Get in Shape
Adventurous couples can book all sorts of Los Cabos adventure tours, including horseback rides, kayaking, diving, golfing, deep-sea fishing and for those who like a little risk in their relationships, tandem para-sailing.
5) A Jug of Wine, a Loaf of Bread, and Thou
While Cabo San Lucas is more well known for its tequilas and free-flowing Mexican beer, Los Cabos Winery offers that vintage praised (or blamed) with some of history’s most famous couplings. Come just for a flight (if you purchase a bottle, the four-wine tasting is free), or stay for dinner at their elegant onsite restaurant. What better way to start an enchanted evening?
