If you find yourself in San Diego and you’re looking to head toward the beach, ask a local: almost any time is a good time to head toward the beach. Southern Californian weather, pretty typically, sits around the low 80s almost year round, so though the water may be a bit colder in the winter, you’re just as likely to get a good day at the beach in October as you are in June.

Got kids. Will travel.
This seems to be the going phrase nowadays, and why not? Exploration is just as much a part of youth as it is adulthood, but finding a balance between what is fun for the kiddies and what is fun for the elders seems to be getting trickier and trickier. Well, if you’re a young, fun-loving parent or even an old fuddy-duddy, there are still plenty of options available in order to ensure a great time will be had by all.
If you’re in the San Diego area, kids or not, it’s best to check out Belmont Park over by the Mission Beach Boardwalk (which, incidentally, is another great place to check out for any visitor to San Diego, new or old). Belmont Park has got everything – bumper cars, miniature golf, and rollercoasters – all on a beachfront setting.

Slap on your kilt, grab your bagpipes, and get ready for some corned beef and cabbage – it’s St. Patty’s day in San Diego. Already a town known for its good times, San Diego doesn’t shirk its responsibility when it comes time to celebrate the green. Pay homage to Ireland and the Irish notion of good times with the 33rd annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival in San Diego.

Little speaks for the southern California lifestyle like the San Diego Mission Beach Boardwalk. You might call it the soul of the San Diego beach community, and that’s no small praise for a city of over a million people. This fun, expansive boardwalk fills every day with joggers, bikers, rollerbladers, and general beachgoers – essentially everyone and anyone who just wants to get out and join in the sun and fun.
