For those interested in an artistic outdoor experience, Seattle, Washington, is home to the Olympic Sculpture Park. Operated by the Seattle Art Museum, the park opened in 2007 and features nine acres for visitors to explore, with sculptures by artists like Mark Dion, Roxy Paine and Mark di Suvero.

Taking a boat out is a fun activity anywhere you go – but Seattle has something special that you won’t find many other places. The Center for Wooden Boats (CWB) is a maritime history gathering spot in which visitors can do more than just learn about this craft heritage in the Pacific Northwest, but actually get involved; that is, you can rent a boat and take it out yourself!

If you’re not familiar with Dale Chihuly, you should be. His work is included in over 200 museums worldwide, and features his signature approach to glass blowing. Many of his works look other-worldly, as if mimicking some jellyfish or deep sea creature, and while complex, are just as intricate, delicate, and beautiful as anything Mother Nature could create. High praise? Perhaps, but at the new 1.5 acre Chihuly Garden and Glass in Seattle, you can be the judge of that yourself.
