As one might note about Singapore, it is one of Asia’s most renowned business hubs that has modernized beyond its own expectations. One might also note that in terms of climate, it can get very hot and sticky—all the more reason to have a plan in place to cool down between shopping and business meetings. Luckily, there are a number of simply amazing places to have a swim, and maybe a drink.

With one of the best views of the city, the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, located across the Marina Bay, has a spectacular 85-foot (25-meter) long pool with several partly submerged lounge chairs and white, shell-shaped fountains spouting water into the main pool area. Here, one can either lay out in the pool, or have a peaceful sit at the hotel’s attached restaurant and lounge area.

For a more intimate experience, the boutique Naumi Hotel, located within walking distance of the National Library, contains a rooftop infinity pool perfect for a relaxing sunset relax session. The pool’s chic look and designer furniture outweigh a smaller swimming surface, by comparison, and makes for the perfect afternoon for some quiet time and relaxation.

One of the most exciting experiences one may have in Singapore, our final selection is the stunning pool that sits atop the Marina Bay Sands Skypark Hotel. Located 55-stories above ground in the Bayfront area of Marina South, a swim in this luxury pool is literally above all the rest. A gigantic surface nearly triples that of three Olympic-sized pools, while the huge infinity pool gives the appearance that if you were to fall off, you would fall into the skyline of Singapore. Luckily, that isn’t true, but the view is fantastic.
