Dedicated readers of the Viator blog will know how much we enjoy Toronto. As Kelly rightfully declared in her own love letter to Toronto, there are plenty of reasons to love this city. Great restaurants. The Hockey Hall of Fame. The Toronto Blue Jays. An eminently TV- and movie-friendly skyline (who knew Detroit Rock City and Good Will Hunting and Police Academy 1 – 4 were all filmed here!). Toronto is Ontario’s capital and the largest city in Canada; so please, let’s show the city some respect. It’s diverse, culturally enlightened, and easy to reach. Its downtown is also manageably small (in a good way) with numerous quirky neighborhoods and ethnic enclaves keeping the city from getting stale and predictable.

Island Life in Toronto
September 14, 2011
People who have never visited Toronto are often unaware that there is actually a chain of small islands in Lake Ontario just offshore from downtown that are called, fittingly, the Toronto Islands. You can get there by taking a ferry from the (again, aptly-named) Ferrydocks.
